For your viewing pleasure, the latest presentation of quilts has been hung by the Thumb Butte Quilters Guild. The theme for this display is “Welcome to My Garden”. With Springtime arriving in the Prescott area, we hope you will enjoy your walk through our garden of quilts.
The makers of the quilts now hanging in the atrium of the Prescott Community Center are as follows: (standing at the Reception Desk, looking South out the front door, beginning with the first small quilt in the southwest corner, and going around the room clockwise)
Susan Perry, quilt maker. (small quilt location--southwest corner) A popular color combination these days, this quilt of yellow and blue can only make you smile!
(Large Quilts on the West wall):
Jane Holland, quilt maker. This is Jane’s “Garden Quilt“, and features everything one might find in the garden!
Kathleen Bond, quilt maker. “Spring Garden” is a Kaffe Fassett pattern, and is made with Kaffe Fassett fabrics. Quilt was hand-quilted.
Nancy Stewart, quilt maker. “Floral Fantasy” was hand-appliquéd and hand quilted. This is a Linda Yantis pattern.
Rose Tuttle, quilt maker. (small quilt location--northwest corner) “Butterflies Fly Free” is the result of a challenge within the mini-group, Sassy Stitchers.
Kathy Beeson, quilt maker. (small quilt location--northeast corner) Who wouldn‘t want to have “Kathy’s Flower Garden” in the back yard?!
(Large quilts on the East wall):
Carolyn Edwards, quilt owner. Quilt makers were members of Thumb Butte Quilters. This quilt was made as a thank you to Carolyn for her year served as President of the Guild.
Kathy Beeson, quilt maker. “Stars in the Garden” is hand appliquéd and machine quilted. It is a “Piece O’ Cake” pattern.
Susie Martin, quilt maker. “Angels In The Garden” is machine appliquéd and machine quilted.
Susan Gates-Harms, quilt maker. (small quilt location--southeast corner) “Mother’s Garden” portrays a delightful wreath of roses.
