Quilt History Study Group
(submitted by Carolyn Edwards)

How old is the Log Cabin quilt block? What were the most common quilt patterns in the 30's? What's broderie perse? What's the story behind Baltimore Album quilts? Who was John Hewson? If you have an interest in Quilt History, please join us! We meet the 3rd Friday every month at Cloth Plus in Prescott Valley (9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.) to talk about Quilt History. This mini-group would love to have you join us! Call Carolyn Edwards, if you have questions.

American Folk Art Museum Quilt Show

If you have not already heard about it or seen it, you MUST see the pictures of the latest exhibit of the American Folk Art Museum in New York CIty at the Park Avenue Armory. It is called " Infinite Variety: Three Centuries of Red and White Quilts".

Here is a link to pictures of the exhibit. Take awhile and just enjoy these incredible quilts.
